 New Adoption Regulations - Effective March 19th, 2006
Biddell Animal Rescue Center adoption fees are $60 per adoption. Adopters receive a $20 certificate good towards sterilizing their new pet and a $5 certificate towards their pet’s first rabies shot. $10 of the adoption fee is for the purchase of a microchip and registration in a national database in case their pet gets lost. That is $35 of the $60 fee that goes right back into the pet they just adopted. The remaining $25 the shelter receives goes towards the pet’s first set of age related vaccinations received prior to adoption (besides the rabies shot) and for the care & feeding of our animals. And of course, the most important thing adopters receive for $60 is a companion that will give them and their family unconditional love.
BARC, The Humane Society does not adopt out dogs to people who will allow them run loose or be kept on a chain. All dogs and cats must be spayed or neutered. NO EXCEPTIONS, this is Texas State Law.
On adopting a pet from our Humane Society, you will have
agreed to take your pet to a veterinarian for a check up within 72 hours after
the adoption and agreed to spay or neuter your pet by six months of age. To
ensure your pet a long and healthy life, make sure your pet receives all needed
vaccinations and regular visits to a veterinarian.
