Thursday 10:30am to 4pm
Friday 10:30am to 4pm
Saturday 10:30am to 3pm
Sunday we are closed
We close Monday through Friday 1 - 2pm for lunch

The Front Of BARC
Renee McKechnie, Shelter Supervisor with Suzy Q, our shelter dog. Suzy Q lives at the shelter and has a bed in the front office, at night she likes to sleep in the cat room.
MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Anderson County Humane Society, Inc, D/B/A “ B A R C”, the
Humane Society is to offer refuge, care, nourishment, and a second chance for
life to abandoned, injured, lost and mistreated animals.
We are committed to the protection of
all animals from cruelty, neglect, carelessness and ignorance.
We will foster a sentiment of humanity
and gentleness toward all animals. With education of the public, we will support
enforcement of all laws concerning the welfare of animals and the promotion of
responsible pet ownership.
We will strive to eliminate the tragic surplus of homeless animals by educating
the public of the importance of sterilization. We will provide painless
euthanasia when needed. |

Donating is easy! Just hit the donate button and you can donate through your Pay Pal account or with your credit card. Make a donation of a dollar or more, every little bit helps and we appreciate every penny. This year we are faced with hard times as many non-profits are, costs are rising while donations are shrinking and our animal needs are ever increasing. We are asking the public to remember animals more than ever with times as they are.

Help us by just by doing your shopping! Partcipate in the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor Donation Program. If you will click on “Downloads” on the left side of the page and then click on “Kroger Charities” you will see a letter you can print out. The letter contains a bar code that can be scanned along with your Kroger Card, your Kroger Card will then be linked to BARC, The Humane Society, who will recieve a donation based on the amount our supporters spend at Kroger stores.
